Its engine range includes two gasoline and two TDI units, among them the
new compressor-supercharged 3.0 TFSI. All the engines employ the six-speed
tiptronic transmission as standard. A six-speed manual box is offered as
an option for the three-liter diesel only. The quattro permanent four-wheel
drive system is fitted as standard in all variants.

The Audi A6 allroad quattro, with its body style derived from the A6 Avant,
features adaptive air suspension as standard. This allows the driver to raise
or lower the ride height by up to 60 millimeters (2.36 in). It also
offers a choice of five driving modes from dynamic for
the freeway to lift for rough terrain.
