Audi A3 Cabriolet
Audi convertibles
generally feature classic soft tops. The one on the A3 Cabriolet is lightweight
and precision-fitting.
It can be opened
hydraulically in just nine seconds, and takes up very little space when open.
Both semi-automatic and fully automated versions of the top are available
the latter as a specially soundproofed acoustic hood. The bodywork
of the Audi A3 Cabriolet incorporates a wide variety of high-tech steels
and lots of reinforcement to ensure maximum rigidity and crash safety. There
is plenty of room for four people in the passenger compartment. The rear
seat backs fold down, increasing the trunk capacity from 260 to 674 liters
(9.18 to 23.80 cubic ft), with the top open or closed. The Audi A3
Cabriolet offers a choice of five four-cylinder engines: two TDI diesel units
and three gasoline. Four of them are turbocharged direct injection
units. |
The range comprises:
- 1.6 75 kW (102 bp)
- 1.8 TFSI developing 118 kW (160 bp)
- 2.0 TFSI developing 147 kW (200 bp)
- 1.9 TDI developing 77 kW (105 bp)
- 2.0 TDI developing 103 kW (140 bp)
On request the S tronic dual-clutch transmission (dependent
on version) sends the power to the wheels. The Audi dynamic suspension system
imbues the A3 Cabriolet with superior agility.
The equipment, specifications, and prices stated
herein refer to the model line offered for sale in Germany. Subject to change
without notice; errors and omissions excepted. |
