Munich, 9th March 2012. BMW Bank GmbH, one of the leading automotive
banks in
Germany, is the new “Premium Partner BMW
Motorsport”. The company will
support the return of BMW to the DTM in 2012 and will be prominently
represented
on the track in the form of the BMW Bank M3 DTM. The car will be run by
BMW
Team Schnitzer and will line up at the 11 DTM events this year with a
special livery:
seldom seen on the motorsport scene, the matt-black exterior combined
with white
branding is sure to catch the eye and underlines the dynamic of the BMW
Bank M3
DTM in style. Bruno Spengler (CA) will be at the wheel of the car.
“BMW Bank is perfectly suited to our DTM project,”
said BMW Motorsport Director
Jens Marquardt. “The company inherently maintains an
extremely close contact with
BMW customers. I am confident that this bond will be strengthened even
further by
the prominent presence of BMW Bank in motor racing. The close
relationship with
BMW customers and fans is also extremely important to us. They are the
driving
force that compels us to give our all out on the track. For this
reason, I am very much
looking forward to the cooperation with BMW Bank.”
Spengler added: “I am thrilled by the design of the BMW Bank
M3 DTM. When
BMW presented its car back in 2011 I thought to myself: Wow, that black
is fantastic.
The fact that I will be contesting the season in this car only serves
to increase my
anticipation ahead of the first race in Hockenheim.”
Dr. Hans-Jürgen
Cohrs, CEO of BMW Bank, said: “We are proud to accompany and
support BMW’s DTM comeback as Premium Partner. This not only
provides us with
the unique opportunity to be involved in one of the most exciting
racing series, but
also enables us to connect even more with our
customers.”
